Shirley Irene Gifford age 81, passed away peacefully Thursday September 8th, 2016 at Florida Hospital, Orlando Florida, surrounded by her loved ones.



Shirley I. Leonard was born February 20th, 1935, in S. Tottenham, England.



She was married to Charles E. Gifford in England December 17th ,1971 and moved to the USA in 1972.



Survived by: Husband Charlie E. Gifford Jr., Sister Dorothea P. Brewster, Son Floyd Honeycutt, Daughter Laurie Lynne, Charles and David Gifford and her beloved Grandchildren.

She was married to Charles E. Gifford in England December 17th ,1971 and moved to the USA in 1972.

Shirley attended the Royal School of Music in Pianoforte, 1947 followed by her certification from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, 1949.



Shirley’s favorite past times were her affiliations in the Orlando Garden club, Brides of Foreign Wars, British Ladies Club and the Central Florida Youth Orchestra, later know as MAYS.



Shirley had a passion for music and had a big heart for rescuing homeless animals. She was truly an incredible person who lived life to its fullest through life’s simple pleasures. She had an unbelievable wit about her that would drop you to your knees in an instant, leaving you laughing beyond control. She also had an undeniable ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Shirley had a heart of gold and touched the people around her with her love, her faith and her passion for music. She touched so many lives in so many ways and always on a positive note with elegance and grace.

In lieu of flowers Shirley would be honored if donations would be sent to the MAYS Metropolitan Area Youth Symphony, which was of utmost importance and a huge passion in her life.
